I can tell you without a doubt in my mind that moms are tired. I look back to when my husband and I first got married and I was going to school, I thought I was tired then. Rightfully so I was driving four hours to a different city for school every week, doing 32 clinical hours, keeping up with homework, working a part time job and being a wife.
I am definitely more tired now but I am filled with so much joy. Being a mother is so rewarding to be a part of shaping someone’s life. When I see my daughter who is two and a half remember the things that I teach her, melts my heart.
I have been asked a few times recently how I keep up with everything.
First I take care of my self- I always make sure I have water on me, I try to do some yoga when I first get up in the morning. I try to eat healthy for the most part a side from doing my blog haha. I make sure I have a healthy snack at the same time my daughter has a snack. If you don’t take care of yourself you can’t take really good care of your kids.
Second I keep a really strict schedule with my family. My daughter knows when nap time is and bed time is. The eat at almost the same time everyday as well. This keeps for pretty happy kids.
Cleaning I try to pick up just a little bit at the end of everyday. Laundry day is on Thursday but honestly I feel like I’m doing laundry and dishes constantly.
I work Monday through Wednesday 3 12 hour shifts so I use Sunday to get ahead on cooking. I usually just make my family a casserole or a large crock pot meal that will last them three nights for dinner.
Now the crock pot meals are my ultimate life savor. I take one big prep day and try to make 10 meals to put in the freezer. That way I know there is always something I can grab in the freezer when I’m getting low on groceries.
Last my relationships! This is how I maintain my sanity. My relationship with God is at the top spending time in prayer helps me get everything off my heart. Then my husband who is my absolute rock. I can tell him anything and everything and when I need more help from him. Last my friends which give me so much support and joy in my life. Sometimes when you have had such a rough day you just need to get out of the house and go out with a friend.
Hope this helps you all. Keep your heads high parenthood is the absolute best!!
Motherhood can get really overwhelming at times, its a 24/7 job! But once you found your rhythm somehow it gets easier. The best advice is to self care as we cannot pour from an empty cup. Keep doing great😊

My son’s only 2 so I am far from expert. But I think we’re more settled now because of the routine.

I’m a stay at home mom with a 18month old owning and running a business from home and it’s crazy! This is so accurate and we practically live off crockpot meals 🙌🏼 Gods gift to mothers 😂
